RIP Trayvon Martin. Sorry we still struggling down here trying to find the justice you deserve.
I have been trying to avoid writing about this tragic situation on here because I thought our government and law-makers would have resolved this already and justice would have been dealt by now. Yet here I am dumbfounded at how wrong I have been. Damn. Its scary to think a 17-year old was gunned down in the streets of Florida because of someone else’s suspicion. A someone who was a self-appointed neighborhood watch captain. A someone who blatantly lied about what exactly happened. A 28 year old who followed a kid who had done nothing wrong. A white male who just so happen to be carrying a gun. A grown ass man who called the police and went against the 911 Responder’s orders of “Do NOT follow that kid…” A criminal who shot a young black male who only turned to his killer to ask, ‘Why? Why are you following me?’ Its just an unbelievable story starting from the police who responded believing a bullshit self-defense claim to the bystanders who watched to the hoodie that was worn by the victim. Justice alludes the Martin family and every young black, white or asian male who owns a hoodie in America tonight. Honestly, I don’t think race would have mattered to George Zimmerman that day. His appearance gives his motives away and I hate to be Mr. Obvious but something has to be done. That’s why we here at The Perfect Man Blog are asking everyone who reads this to go to Change.org and sign the petition. It will change shit. Click the link below for the redirect.
